Terms of Service

Last updated: August 25, 2026

These Terms are a binding agreement. Please read them carefully — Sections on member interactions & assumption of risk, disclaimers, and limitation of liability affect your legal rights.

1. Who we are

Mezze ("Mezze", "we", "us") is a neighborhood coordination app operated by Romir Gade, an individual based in New Jersey, United States. Mezze is not a registered company. You can reach us at support@mezze.app.

2. What Mezze is

Mezze lets verified neighbors in a participating residential community post what they're cooking, what they're craving, ingredients or equipment they need, market runs, and favors — and coordinate directly. Mezze is only a communication and coordination platform. We do not prepare, inspect, deliver, or guarantee any food, item, service, or favor exchanged between members, and we are not a party to any interaction or agreement between members.

3. Eligibility

4. Your account

5. Community rules & acceptable use

You agree not to use Mezze to:

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior; confirmed violators may be removed.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the posts, messages, photos, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By posting, you grant Mezze a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate the service — for example, showing your posts and profile to relevant neighbors in your community. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to post it.

7. Reporting, moderation & blocking

Mezze provides tools to report content or members and to block other users. We review reports of objectionable content and aim to act on them (including removing content and ejecting offenders) within 24 hours. To report abuse, use the in-app report tools or email abuse@mezze.app.

8. Interactions between members & assumption of risk

Please read this section carefully. Mezze connects neighbors, but everything that happens between them — meeting in person, sharing or accepting food, lending or borrowing items, running errands, or doing favors — happens at your own risk and on your own responsibility.

9. Fees

Mezze is currently free. We do not sell your data and do not show third-party advertising. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will give you notice and you can choose whether to use them.

10. Intellectual property

The Mezze name, logo, app, and software are owned by Mezze and its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any right to our branding or software except to use the app as intended.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any member, content, food, item, or favor is safe, accurate, legal, or reliable. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mezze and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss, injury, illness, damage, or dispute arising out of or relating to your use of the service or your interactions with other members. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability will not exceed USD 0. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mezze and its operators from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the service, your interactions with other members, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

14. Suspension & termination

You may stop using Mezze and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the community or the service. On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., content license for already-shared content, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) will continue to apply.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there — except that if you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere with mandatory local consumer-protection laws, nothing here removes rights you have under those laws, and you may bring claims in your local courts.

16. Apple App Store — additional terms

If you download Mezze from the Apple App Store, these additional terms apply and, in case of conflict, control for the Apple-sourced app:

17. Google Play

If you download Mezze from Google Play, your use must also comply with the Google Play Terms of Service.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email, and may ask you to accept the new version. Continuing to use Mezze after changes take effect means you accept them.
